Should You Trust Psychic Readings?
Whenever you read up on psychics, in independent research or in scientific journals, you will always see the word “allegedly.” They allegedly have the ability to see into the future, and give advice that will point their client in a better direction, where they can achieve what they want in life.
There really is no cast-iron proof that psychics really are able to foretell the future, for all that certain police departments employ psychics in an attempt to help them solve crimes, and certain countries - most notably Russia, perform experiments in psychic research.
So if you feel the need to consult with a psychic, proceed with caution. Let us assume that there are legitimate psychics offering their services…it must be admitted that there an equal number of frauds, preying on the gullible, just as every other profession has its tricksters who will work hard to gain your confidence, and then trick you into turning over money or property to them.
Another criticism of psychics is…do they foretell the future…or do they cause it?
Let us say that you visit a psychic, who tells you that you will meet your “soul mate” in another year. Might this not subconsciously prevent you from dating for a year, or giving up on your current boy or girlfriend? You may indeed find a soul mate in the next year, but you may have spent a year ignoring someone who could just as easily have been your soul mate.
Indeed, when a psychic makes a prediction about your life that will not take place until a year afterwards…that’s the time to become skeptic of this psychic. It’s only if they can make predictions which come to fruition in the next day or the next week, that will prove that they actually know what they are talking about.
What is it that you want from your psychic? Do you want them to tell you exactly what you must do to find happiness…or do you simply want to know that you will be happy in future…without having to do anything different to achieve it?
Until you know what you want, a psychic probably won’t be able to help you anyway.
